Yes, that is the thing now. You bomb, there is no guarantee you remain around. Look at what happened to the studio that made Darksiders, as an example, despite THQ former head being dismayed no one bid on them.
It is like this: If a studio decides to split, their former head may not want them back. If the former head jettisoned them, then fairly sure they are done with them. Best not to wish a bomb anywhere to get a reunion. How about just enjoying them as a studio that makes games, however they decide to? It isn't like Insomniac isn't making a game for the PS3, they are just making stuff that also plays on the 360.
