There are much more factors than that though e.g. Apple desperately want MS Office to be available for the iPad, so MS could use this as a bargaining tool.
OT: I hope MS pays up and Bing becomes the default iOS search engine. I already use Bing as the search engine on my iPhone 5

Lol where did you hear that apple desperately want Office for Ipad? Last I checked microsoft was trying to get a better cut than the usual 30 percent and Apple simply said no. If they desperately wanted MS to release Office they'd say allright.
