My guess is that it has a big focus on games that Japan will like. Of course info like a price cut in Japan would most likely mean one for U.S. and Europe as well. As well as Gran Turismo Vita. But those kinds of things could easily be in the Feb 20th New York event. This event seems "Japan Only" to me

So yeah I think it's to show of games for Japan Market only
