Well, at least they put the money SEGA gave them into a much better game lol. Borderlands 2 is one of the best games of 2012. Plus I got it for just $25 on Black Friday, so Gearbox didn't get all of my monies lol.

I also got it for $25 at best buy. LOL

Got mine for free with my graphics card.

But NightDragon83.  Don't you think maybe the game was better because all the money was spent on making it.  Also I believe it says Gearbox didn't even make Aliens but had another team make it for them while they worked solely on borderlands 2.   Gearbox basically just took the Aliens game that another team made and made sure there were no bugs.   Then handed the game to SEGA

Basically criminal all around.

Not quite. GRX was developer chosen by SEGA to develop aliens. They  funded with SEG's money to do it. I do why but SEGA allowed GBX to push back development of Aliens in favor of GBX own projects while they passed the project to a bunch of nobodies but reportedly kept the fund money. GBX is the official of the game they just chose not to work on it in favor of Borderlands.

Having hard time understanding your sentences.

Here is how I interpreted the situation.

1. SEGA approached gearbox and said "want to make an Aliens game" to which Gearbox agrees

2. SEGA gives Gearbox "x" amount of dollars to make Aliens game.

3. Gearbox then hands the Aliens project over to "Timegate" and has them work on it, meanwhile Gearbox continue making their game Borderlands 2 with the extra money they recieved from SEGA to work on Aliens

4. Gearbox releases Borderlands 2 and then gets the game Aliens that Timegate was working on back.

5. Gearbox works out any big kinks in the game and makes sure there is no game ending/freezing bugs

6. Gearbox hands Aliens game back to SEGA and say "we are done"
