Sony has announced its intention to broadcast new information concerning the Playstation Vita this evening (2/18) at 17:00 in Japan, 3 days before the big Playstation meeting on the 20th.

RESULTS:
Vita price drop. Both 3G/WiFi and plain WiFi models have been dropped to 19,980 yen, or around US$200. (10,000 and 5,000 yen off respectively) Effective Feb 28. For reference the 3DS LL retails for 18,900 yen.
New Vita color: Ice Silver. Also some showcasing of the Soul Sacrifice limited edition.
