People did want it, Sony just didn't push it hard enough for 3rd parties to develop for it, Sony itself barely supported it beyond tacked-on support for games like Resistance 3/Killzone 3...etc. They're even integrating PS Move tech into the PS4 Dualshock....would they do that if Move was such a massive failure for them? PS Move sales are very good for an optional add-on. It's right up there with Kinect and Wii Fit at the top sellers chart. |
lol @ tacked on. They certainly didn't market the Move aspects of those games as if they were tacked on.
And you have no idea how successful it is because per usual, Sony numbers are hidden and/or have no context. Last I saw Sony mention it, they could have announced more idk, it was at "15 million". But of course that doesn't take into account the fact that multiple households will have multiple controllers. Not a direct comparison to Kinect sales numbers or Wii Fit numbers at all.
Bottom line is you seem to be eager to give Sony credit for not making a big push with Move. But they made one, people just weren't interested. Had they caught lightning in a bottle like Nintendo or MS did, they'd be all over it.
