I wouldn't say "crushed" they kept making consoles but "dominated on home consoles" was definitely true for 2 gens. I also predict Sony owning the largest market share this upcoming gen considering that them making every mistake that normally kills a console only was able to hold them to maybe 90 million I can only imagine what they'll do with a console that's on time and close to the competitor's price.
