By now you have seen the backlash from Aliens Colonial Marines. Fucking 6 years in development and this is the final result. Angry Joe has a great review that explains all of its problems. What the fuck was Gearbox doing to develop this game for six years? Obviously they did Borderlands 1 & 2 and those took up a lot of resources but they clearly payed no fucking attention to Aliens Colonial Marines. It's absolutely fucking inexusable that this game had 6 years of development and barely did anything at all to work on it. They should have either put more time into it or walked away.
Its bullshit this game ended up the way it has and it's bullshit that Randy Pitchford and former Gearbox employees are trying to put the blame on Timegate studios. The blame goes on Sega/all developers for this but especially Gearbox. They were in charge of this and a former Timegate developer spoke up and said they were just trying to follow what they were told. I don't buy at all that Timegate was given any sort of authority compared to Gearbox. Besides the end result, worst of all they talked like they loved the franchise. Randy and everyone else are so full of shit. Aliens fans my ass. You have to hate the franchise to release a piece of shit like this.
Its already bad enough how everything turned out and now they have the balls to charge $30 for a season pass with half assed dlc. This is just one piece of shit. Duke Nukem Forever? I already know that Gearbox basically just finished up the game so it can be released but is it an excuse? Fuck no. There was definitely sometime to do more with it and even if there wasn't time it should have been made to make it better.
I do like Borderlands 2 but like everything Gearbox related of course there is still traces of shit. The game has been out for a few months now and all the issues still haven't been fixed. My main used character can rarely pick up new items because the inventory says full when its not, I can't unlock skins from the menu, the season pass doesn't even have all the dlc and already one of the DLC's is a fucking waste. Out of all the interesting characters they go with Hammerlock? He is probably the worst NPC from Borderlands 2. Everything these developers touch they either fuck up completely and its garbage or anything that is good they still manage to fuck things up with.
Rant over. Fuck Gearbox. These guys will never be a AAA developer with how fucking lazy they are and not giving two shits about their projects or their fans.
