Yes, I've been getting this a lot in this thread. The USA is indeed big and therefore a big target. That is clearly true. What I'm asking is why do people feel the need to shout down any positive opinion of the USA. It's like the stupid fanboy wars, but it means a hell of a lot more than plastic box sitting next to a TV. I don't understand the need that fanboys have to fight over consoles nor do I understand the need that some people have to demand justification for patriotism. We aren't talking about sports rivalries, we are talking about homelands.

 

Because it's cool to badmouth USA, simply as that. In some countries it's politically incorrect to say all the good things USA provides to US, for example the EU nations have ridicule military budgets, thanks to NATO, and that money we don't spend in the military is used on welfare. Without USA and NATO, our military budgets should increase a lot, but people don't see that. As people say, fuck the police.
