I hope this means no more casual game pushes :O

One can only hope....

But we need the casual gamers.

Who is "we" and what kind of affiliation do you have with them?

Maybe I should have rephrased that as "the industry needs casual gamers". I used to be one until Metroid Prime came into my life and blew me away. I find  it a bit disheartening that I would have been lumped in with the group of "casuals that would abandon Nintendo for Angry Birds 2".

Depends on the definition of a casual game, I was mostly referring to games that involve the use of the PSMove/Kinect/Wiimote, Just Dance, etc.

Sorry didnt mean to be like I'm attacking anyone - its just I hate using motion controls/3D/touchscreen/Kinect/Wonderbook/etc. I just want NORMAL game playing like the old days T.T.

There will always be "Gimmicks' and there will always be Core Games and Gimmicks shouldn't affect you unless they are forced on you.

cough "LOZ Skyward Sword" cough

T.T

Yes that is a great example it should given people the option to play with a normal Gamecube controller instead of forcing the Wiimote.

If anything it's the casual gamer who bought the Wii for games like the Wii sports etc who should feel betrayed , nintendo said it was not a gimmick but a superior gaming interface .

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot
