Eh, Naughty Dog has had a lot of time to make this game (since 2008, in fact). That's plenty of time to make a lengthy campaign and that's where the credit goes. Pace will probably play a tiny role here.

You act like their whole team was dedicated to it. Only half was, maybe less, and only when UC 3 came out has the team dedicated 100% of its resources. But based on videos, the pacing is slower you gotta admit.

Pacing is slower sure, but that doesn't mean there's less content. It's not like you've just got your dick in your hands half the time. Seems like there's more gameplay aspects that keep you busy like crafting and little anecdotes in the environment like ellie looking at the poster in thst first gameplay vid
