this topic is the one which sony fans talk about the most isn't it... ms fans don't seem too fussed either way. funny that.

They are not fussed because they haven't got a choice in the matter. If they want to access the online features of the xbox they have to pay simple as that. This argument has been flogged to death at this stage.

They have a choice..  they can get rid of the 360 and buy a PS3 for instance.  They dont... why is that?

Because they have invested in the hardware already? Bought games, made friends online and got achievement points. Most gamers don't want to lose that so again they have no choice but to pay it.

Xbox had Live since 2002......people knew what they were getting into when they bought 360, regardless of its price compared to PS3, since it continues to outsell PS3 in the biggest video game market. Resorting to the marketing excuse is a fools response and frankly a overused crutch.  Its not like it came as a surprise.....

Perhaps, I dont know, heres a crazy thought, maybe what Live offers is worth paying for? I know, I know, crazy theories right?

What does it offer though that is worth $60 more than a free online service? Enlighten me please. Steam is free aswel and that is an amazing service.

Cross game chat is a given, but its just faster, more seamless to get where you want to go and connect with friends. You pay for the ease and convienence, with weekly marketplace deals.

Its completely subjective. And dont use steam as a crutch, as many pro PSN users seem to do.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
