You are after neotenic traits... that's probably what attracts you on asian girls. Don't worry - it has been a major force in human evolution for the last million years or so.
OT - yeah, sometimes. Instinctively you look for both someone familiar to you and someone far away, because of genetic diversity and... Freud? Tribalism? Anyways, most people go one way or another in the end, or try to find a middle ground.
