The ps3 does fine in japan. Isn't it?
Keep in mind japan is handhels territory. The average worker travels like 2 or 3 hours a day for work. And they work more than 8 hours if i remember correct. So at home they don't waste that much time for consoles like us...
And well the vita... different story. Yes the 3ds has more japanese appealing games but its outselling the vita in a ridicolous way.
