A "Microsoft insider" speaking to CVG has responded to Sony's next-generation tease. This unnamed person said future platform supremacy will be awarded to the company with the most substance, not the most flash.

"Victory will go not to those who make the most noise, but those who make the most impact," this person said.

In addition, a Sony insider told the site that the company is not focusing on outperforming the Xbox 720 in terms of raw power. Previous reports suggested the PS4 and Xbox 720 would be feature the same graphics card.

"The war won't be won by producing the most powerful system," the person said.

Sony last night invited gamers to "see the future" of the PlayStation brand on February 20 at 6 p.m. EDT. The company will hold an event in New York City that evening where the PlayStation 4 is to be revealed, if a report from The Wall Street Journal proves accurate.

His quotes make the PS4 look like it will win. Microsoft definitely yells louder than they perform.

lol excuse me? Sony is the one always talking a big game and come years end the games promised tend to score/sold lower then expected, or the games get delayed into the next year.

For reference, to show im not trolling, im referring to pretty much all of 2012, E3 06, GT5, FFV13, to name a few.

When I say barking louder than they perform I mean their marketing is better than their output. Most people do not even know about a large portion of Sonys offerings. They must learn to take fault for this. Their commercials are too artsy as well and need to be dumbed down and made straight forward for the masses like Microsoft.
