Hang on...I'm trying to understand this.

Asus Vivotab Smart is an x86 tablet correct? So essentially its a full PC in tablet form... And you're trying to plug a one PC in to another PC to transfer files??

Why not use a USB drive or an external hard drive to transfer the music. Vivotab smart should have a USB 2.0 port. You could also set up a network drive on your Pc that any device on the wifi network can access but USB drive is much easier...

Thanks to all for the advice.

It doesn't have a USB port, though. It seems the only reasonable solution is using a microSD card. Rather unfortunate as I have neiter a card reader nor a card - plus the 64GB storage will hardly be used otherwise.

I believe I tried using skydrive(perhaps it was ASUS' version, I'm unsure), however, I think the file size limit was 300mb (no good for videos).

It does have a USB but needs an adapter - http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Asus-VivoTab-Smart-ME400C-Tablet.88200.0.html

Skydrive is good but slow as you have to upload everything to the skydrive folder on your dekstop. I'd set up a shared folder on your PC and connect to it with the tablet. Micro SD is an option too...
