As mentioned, that seems pretty short life spans for all the consoles. I think with the rrod issue Microsoft learned its lesson about putting a system out to early. Give the PS3 and Wii a good 6 year life span and Microsoft a 7 year life span, and they will release something in 2012. That is assuming that Nintendo can satisfy demand for the Wii before 2010. I think all three have learned that price makes a huge difference when it comes to sales and so won't push to hard with hardware. Microsoft will need to push harder than Sony since Microsoft hasn't done the built in HD yet which Sony, presumedly, has worked all the kinks out of.
