If he exists and you dont believe in him you go to hell but if you believe you go to heaven..there is nothing you can lose..so why not ? and if he doesnt exist then he doesnt exist you wont ruin your life or anything like that..thats simple logic and everyone should agree IMO.

If god is anything like what is depicted in the bible and/or the qur'an or most religion, I rather take my chances as an atheist since I find the Abrahamic god to be very, very cruel and the most evil thing there ever was.

I'm saying it's not worth following the religion of the Abrahamic god since that's one evil being. He gives man free will to make of the world what he can, so when men don't believe in god (because of the free will god gave men) god decides to flood the world, killing everything in it - except for Noah and the animals he could gather. Is that a just god? That's like as if a parent would give their kid a toy, and as soon as the kid starts to play with the toy the parent would start hitting the child. Is that not evil and psycopathic?
