46M Live Users * 57% Entertainment App Usage = 26.2M gold users.

I'd say that the 46 million are all gold. It's just over half the consoles sold according to M$ numbers. %57 of gold users just use the apps or it's just an increase over another period of time like last year. If 46 million people only conected the 360 to the internet not even trying the free gold trial or silver, that's just over half who even attempted internet connection with the 360. Not a chance. Live was and still is a selling point, surely they would atleast try it.

LOL 46m are all gold? Woah there buddy hold your horses. Let me link you to something interesting

http://www.tgdaily.com/games-and-entertainment-brief/60687-xbox-live-users-topple-40-million

"Ballmer said that of those 66 million Xbox 360 consoles, there are 40 million users who have signed up for an online Xbox Live account."

I guess that makes sense...a little over 6 million new users to xbox live with 10 million extra sales. Given that the article you linked to is over a year old...

The point I was trying to make is that the 46m users are NOT gold members. I just gave that link to show that it was recently announced that there are 40m users who have simply signed up for an account, not paid for live. IronmanDX said that there are 46m Gold users, which is incorrect.
