Did my A levels and did very well.

Went to uni for 12 months... ditched it and never looked back.

Best thing I ever did.

What are A levels?

They are what you need in the UK to get into university (unless you a a mature student)

So for instance to would probably need 4 A levels at grade A or A* to get into medical school.

Oh we don't have them here. So why did you ditch uni? You started your own business?

No I only started my own business 8 years ago after I had creamed all the knowledge and training I could from various employers and "learned my trade"

The 4 years I spent in the workplace set me up much better than the 4 years at uni would have, by the time most of my friends left uni I was well into my career.

Complete waste of time for the vast majority of people in my opinion. The amount of down time is ridiculous.

Agreed. I have boring classes to take at uni which I feel won't help me at all if I were to start a business. I'm glad you found whats good for you.
