Look, I don't mind continuing the discussion but if you aren't going to participate and instead make vague, slightly condescending comments I'd rather we stop.

lol.  People can be devout to a lot of things. Devout - totally committed to a cause or a belief. Surely you know a few people on here who might, possibly, maybe, a devout follower of something....maybe a game system?  As far as devout atheists go, well....

Atheism is a belief like any other.  There were large, funded billboards promoting atheism in Jewish neighborhoods in New York.  For many people it is a cause, a movement.  Righting the wrongs of religion in our society. Research a topic before you say what someone said is stupid.
