What the hell? I seriously want to see where you got this notion that Christians/religious folk don't believe in extinction???
I fail to see how anyone could not believe in extinction. If you kill off everything of a certain type, it's gone, obviously... lol...
Also, like any religion or belief, don't let the views of the loudest (often most wrong/extreme) individuals shape your view of all said believers. For instance, I know quite a large amount of Christians that see no mutual exclusivity between creationism and evolution. I see no reason, personally, why they can't co-exist either.
