Wow, you're comparing 2 tangible, real things to something that isn't real or tangible. Astonishingly ignorant.
His comparison of goblins is excellent. How do you know there aren't goblins in there? Do we know anything about goblins? Can they withstand the immense heat?
You can't disprove the existence of anything. That's his point. Disprove that there are tiny, insivisble, undetectable creatures flying around your face at this very moment. The default of "I don't know" I suppose I can agree with. It's fair. It's how you start anything - is the ball red? I don't know, let me look at the ball, okay yes it looks red, so it's red. No it does not look red, it is not red.
Your response calling me ignorant is actually ignorant, which is great ironic humor. I was not comparing teams. I was comparing faith in teams. People cheer for teams, generally, not because of how good the team is. Occassionally it's because of how they play the game or what player they have. But ususually its because of where they are born, the colors of the uniforms or something else that appeals to them intrinsically.
This is true of people of faith in God or faith in lack of God.
