People will move on to the other next big thing in gaming. Shooters are still popular, they're not going anytime soon. There won't just be an exodus from shooters, if it ever falls it will most likely be caused by other emerging genres, its a normal cycle that also caused the fall of other genres. Don't listen to sensationalist dooming youtubers.
