Did you even watch the video? He mentions that during the first video game crash there was a bum in Europe for consoles like the commodore 64, but his point is that there are always exceptions even in the most "difficult" times. The bum of those consoles in Europe those not mean a loss of profitable products, but those numbers decrease A LOT do to the crash. 


There won't be a crash anywhere.

But what he says is not out of the question. The most successful games right now are FPS and third person shooters (like he said with some very exceptions like Portal or Minecraft), what happens if people lose interest in those games? Other genres aren't quite fulfilling publishers sales desire. Publishers used the money gain from those popular FPS games to invest in new IPs or other franchises, if that money doesn't come from anywhere, how will they pay the bills? 

I not saying it will happen, but it's a possibility. But who knows people probably could never get tired of FPS or we can find a balance in successful types of genres. Honestly the only thing I don't agree with him is that he talks about facts, while imo all of what he says are speculations.
