I think you need to face reality here. Christianity is fading fast.

I appen to know what every word in that question means. Most people do not. Ask some people what agnostic means and they probably cant tell you. On top of that they may not have known it was asking just for beliefe in christ as it very clearly listed organized religion. All i am saying is that it is not that accurate. With out knowing more about the study, who was called I call into questiion its accuracy. I will admit that organized christianty in the us is on the decline, but i think it has mroe to do with people loosing faith in their churches than loosing their faith all together.

Well look at the rest of the data - where did the 5% go? Well, look at what has risen in the past 5 years - unaffiliated 4.3% growth, other religion - 2%,  agnostic - 1.2%, atheist 0.8%. If you do not identify with a church, you will not answer unaffiliated. Unaffiliated would be some theistic belief that isn't identified by any church.

Let's go back to your point about not listing Christanity - the question remained the same for each year, so it wouldn't matter anyway.
