Because every claim that's been put forth for the Bible's acuracy has been proven to be incorrect since Gallileo demonstrated that the earth wasn't the center of the universe.

Sometime's i find it funny that people of one religion act as though one religion is rediculous because it's full of hole's yet will make up absurd explanation's for the contradiction's within their own bible. A
And just because a bible doe's not contradict itself or make's a few right prediction's does not mean that it's true. If their were a god who interfere in mortal affairs I'm sure that given how long it's been since he would most likely give us a few of those miracle's to give us a chance to observe his power and have some evidence.
