How about neither marketing or whatever for PSASBR? How abou it is also a niche title to, that isn't going to win over the Smash Bros. crew to buy a PS3 just for it, irregardless of how good it is? How about also it isn't a type of title that would appeal to the Playstation demographic either? Titles can be niche and not do huge, no matter how well executed? And how about Sony not follow Smash Bros and do brawling differently in a way that is really modern in gameplay? |
I persoanlly thin there is a big crowd for that sort of game. Supersmash is one of the Wii more core titles. Of its 12m in sales, I think a large portion of them would either own a ps3 or 360 in addition to their wii. But the main reason why I state poor execution is that I'm a supersmash bros fan and wasn't going to get the game (but my brother did instead). From the begining me, alongside the majority of the peeps on the intertet were discussing how awkward the game looked and how unimpressed we were, although there were obviously a few in its defence but there were a minority. And ultimately a game with mediocre reviews is never going to reach its sales potential compared to a game which is lauded by critics.
