Since we're on the topic, honestly, why in the world would anyone write a book that goes completely against the religious thread of the time? The prophets (Isaiah for example) were considered Godly men in the bible, but were denouncing the very people (the Jews) that were considered by that very book (the bible of the time) to be the people of God.
