They counted fixed-function hardware, scalar product operations etc. to inflate the numbers. MS did it with the first Xbox if I recall correctly. It's like measuring audio power in PMPO Watts... utter BS but not technically a lie.

I think this time they will show the AMD FLOPS count... because there is no way they can inflate over the GPU standards.
