What's The Soonest You've Ever Bought A Console After Launch? What's The Longest?

Closest was Wii, at launch. I give it precedence over 3DS and Wii U because you almost literally had to kill someone to get it at launch without a preorder. My latest is a Sega Dreamcast, I just got one last year with tons of accessories for like $40. It's my first Sega system xD.
