Naughty Dog dev's aren't coming off as arrogant. The only way anyone would think they are arrogant is if people are reading way to much into the context of what the dev's are saying and getting passion and arrogance mixed up. If you were to ask these people if they've learned things from other developers then they would say yes. ND is very passionate about their work and they think that other developers can learn from their work much like they've learned from others. What's so arrogant about aiming to be the best or offer the best experience per dollar? It's nothing but a circle, don't look too much into it.
Also, your an idiot if you choose not to buy something just because you think they're arrogant. What does that have to do with the quality of the game?
