I know you meant the PS3. I would counter that the PS3 had a horrifically bad start, and that the Wii breezed right by the 360 in no time at all. More to the point, I'd argue that the Wii U launch is just outright botched: being first or last to release has no effect on that.

Sorry, feeling a bit sick today so I apparently have lost my ability to type. haha.
The Wii was able to easily glide by because it was set up to win. I see where you're coming from but I feel that if the 360 didn't have the head start, the PS3 could have easily outsold it. Many people bought a 360 because their friends already owned one. Of course then again, you could chalk it up to a botched release for the PS3.
