Well that's true with every platform. I'm talking overall, the messaging for Sony/ Microsoft consoles has always been offering the latest and greatest graphical advancements, and proudly displaying their tech specs for all to see. Nintendo stopped doing that after the GameCube, and since then they barely mention technical specs except when it's absolutely necessary to answer questions. Even then, they are always very non-specific. Nintendo decided that who has the best graphics no longer matters, and it seems only now that the other two console manufacturers are coming around to understanding that as well. |
Nintendo should still put out specs instead of making us guess though. They're kind of dicks about that. I mean we get it that's not what YOU want to focus on but I should still be able to see what I'm buying. Anyway Sony offers far more than graphical enhancements each gen and I think the big ones will be cloud gaming, PS+, the awesome first party studios making awesome games, and bluray player. Of course I'm excited to see gaming advance with bigger envrionments, more interactivity, better AI, and yes better resolutions and framerates. A lot of RAM will help with multitasking as well so specs matter to me.
