360 version From what I understand, it's rendered at half-1080p, but framebuffer is double-buffered to allow for throughput of 4 tmes the pixels. Coupled with the decoupling of the controller latency from the rendering frame, that gives us a perfect 1080p image, though one that is not edge-smoothed through the filters. PS3 version Te PS3 version is actually 1090p, but the RSX parcels out the pixel density to the SPUs, which gives it a smooth look, despite "technically" not being "True HD". The seven SPUs on the Cell each handle approx 1090p/7 of the framebuffer. Then the RSX carefully puts them together before applying a soft edge-smoothing technique known as QXSFXAA (Qunicunx Approximation of a Supersampled Fast Xciting Anti Aliasing) that was developed by Dr. Richard Westerveldenstein, the famous particle theoreticist. |
Rayman is a 2D game... even in PS Vita it run at max resolution (960x544) and 60fps.
