It talks about how Apple OSX presents the data as the hard drive manufacturers do, meaning that it will say that hard drive in Macbook Air is 128 GB HDD in size(decimal), as multiple of 1000 bytes in kbyte. But windows 8 reports it as a multiple of 1024 as we all know 1024 bytes = kbyte(binary).
Bottom line, here is the file size for Surface Pro VS Macbook Air once their storage is presented in the same manner.
