I dont believe Nintendo's gamepad is useful for RTS games, since since you'll be looking 90% of the time on a second screen(if not 100%). Tablets make more sense for those games.
It has always been a niche genre for consoles, I don't believe this will change. RTS could make an comeback on touch tables with local multiplayer?
