So the opinion of some random article writer is 'proof'? *checks dictionary*, nope, the definition of the word 'proof' hasn't changed.
Back on topic, it's not last gen just 'because it's currently competing with last gen systems'. It's competing with last gen systems because it's the ONLY NEW SYSTEM ON THE MARKET. Also, PS4/Nextbox will be 'competing' with their predecessors for a bit as well, so...
