Boy I'd hate to be an inexperienced or undereducated citizen living in Chicago who is looking for his first job...I would NEVER find a job with the minimum wage being $10.
I would also hate to work at something like a grocery store or big box store...because my job will now likely be lost to an automated self-checkout unit since machines aren't paid minimum wage :(
Lol this is funny timing for a thread like this...because I just happen to be halfway into an essay for school about ways to create job growth in Canada...and one of my main arguments/solutions is to GET RID OF minimum wage.
Also, question for you minimum wage supporters. Why just $10/hour? If minimum wage is such a great thing that benefits workers and helps them earn a fair living wage, then why not $15/hour or $20/hour? Say what you want, but you get my point. Higher minimum wage only helps those already with jobs, not those looking for jobs.
