I want an OUYA, but I will hold off purchase until they start offering games that has local multiplayer, and I must compare it with Steambox. So far all MP games I've known on android runs over a network, aside from that one multi-touch "curling" game.

It's only $99, +$49 if you want a 2nd controller. It's really cheap. Besides, there are games on the Android right now that deserve gamepads (I hate on screen D-pads). There's also an increasing number of HD games both 2D and 3D (Shadowgun comes to mind). I don't get why we should block the progress of Android gaming and confine it to mobile only.

Price and the size of the thing got my attention. I want something I can carry around and have instant multiplayer gaming over a friend's house or wherever. Lugging my gaming PC around is inconvenient and impractical. Buying consoles is expensive for casual gaming, plus they're still not as portable as I'd prefer.

I hope this thing doesn't flop. It may not be a wildfire success as android on mobile, but I hope it gets software support. Unless OUYA pump up games that trumps PC, it will never be my main gaming avenue, but it will fill a role in my social and gaming wants.

yea i'd hate to see it flop aswell, but i guess you have no interest in creating games for it.
