I grew up with Sony. PS1 was my first console, PS2 my second. I've never been unhappy as a gamer and I've been playing for about 17 years now. Aside from that...
Third party support from pretty much all of my favourite publishers has always been strong on Sony consoles.
Fantastic first party infrastructure who work together to push consoles to their limits.
Variety of Sony-owned IP's which are among my favourites and maintain consistently high quality.
Hardware itself has always been flawless. I own 5 Sony consoles, all of them still work and are the original machines (i.e. I've never replaced them)
