Yes, but the streaming service mentioned here is being provided by Verizon, which does not operate in Canada to my knowledge.

Yes, US only but logically if Redbox has kiosks in Canada than I would imagine the feature won't be far behind there. Also, Verizon is probably the company providing the data connectivity to the Internet for Redbox. It has nothing to do with where you live, except that most likely if they were to offer the service in Canada they would likely setup a separate data center to provide the streamed content through. In which case, they may partner with a local network provider.
At the very minimum, you have a year to wait.
