Interesting :) I wonder if it affects the regular market, and if it's the same stock just in two markets, and if the transactions in one market affects the other on market open.

There is a correlation , after hours is like an extension of the market.


The stock price at the start of the market starts close to where it left in extended hours trading.

You are trading the same stock.

 

Stocks will however sometime have wide variation during after hours trading as companies release financial information during that time and that can have an immediate effect on a stock price..
