Then yeah, go for it. You'll know where all the obscured building entrances are and such. The new NPCs are pretty cool, too. It's iPad only, so you'll need an iPrybar for your son's hands. Also, iPad 2 or newer recommended. BG is playable, but unstable, on 1st gen iPad due to memory constraints.
