In an era where you have to sell 2m+ copies of your game to break even I don't expect 3rd party games to really show the power of the PS4 and 720 (that like always will be a job of the first party tittles). That's the main reason why I think the Wii U is going to have better luck with 3rd party games (plus some engines like UE4 that can downscale to even phones), probably not going to happen though. Not that it really matters to me since I have a PC for the multiplats. I said this before but Nintendo strategy this gen is to get 3rd party exclusive games, which is far better than multiplats imo.

Overall I agree with you, power will not determine who's the winner next gen. People always talk about power and what not but if you don't have the games to play then there's no point in arguing about power. It will be interesting to see how the PS4 and the 720 preform with a price that will most likely be $400 (or more), with that we should see if the market is interested in paying that much cash for a gaming console.
