Capcom/Ninja Theory's job is to sell the game. Consumers can buy whatever the f**k they want. For whatever reason (nerdrage included), consumers didn't want this game as much as Capcom hoped.  Simple as that.

I know it's simple, I was just wondering what the reason was, how much was nerdrage and self-fulfilling prophecy and how much was the game being bad.  From most opinions it seems to be fine.

I see where you are coming from, but at the end of the day whatever the reason  was is irrelevant. Seems alot of people wanted 5 and not a reboot, there mind was made up before hand. Capcom knew this, and them being Capcom went ahead with it anyway and now are suffering. They just dont want to listen to anyone, its not just with DmC, their fighters, RE, Mega Man, etc.

The plot would at least seem like a viable reason, his different look or fighting mechanic don't seem good because one is a shallow reason and the other seems rather similar.  But yeah, Capcom has a knack for this, I want a new good Legends game lol.  Thanks for not jumping down my throat, that helped.
