But the real question of Sony's ability to be competitive or even dominant next-gen is if they can save the Vita. They need to take drastic measures to make this a viable platform for developers.

1 failed product is all it takes for consumers to lose confidence in your company. Sony, don't let the Vita be a failed product.

Is that even possible at this point? 

I belive it is. They have lots of options. The obvious one is release more games for it. But here is Sony themselves can do whenever they please:

-Playstation Vita redesign
-Price Cut
-Rebranding
-Vita phone?

Yeah, I guess it can turn around but it will heavy depend on if Sony pushes it enough. If they don't care and only focus on Orbis, PSV won't do well at all. A Price Cut alone won't do much. The games are definitely the biggest push it could get. I could be wrong but didn't the 3rd party games have a ton to do with PSP being so successful? Nintendo seems to have taken all the Handheld 3rd party support. I don't know if Sony can push it themselves. It would be a shame if it didn't pass 20 Million...
