@Italics: You admit to being purposely obtuse to the thread being about "next gen" graphics, then proceed to deflect by rebutting by semantics. @bold: Your opinion isn't rational - Wii U continues to show it is equal to or marginally better than PS360 in terms of graphics. Time to face the facts here, they make it abundantly clear. |
I didn't fail to admit anything. I told you that I had no context for what you were replying to.
Now that I have a context, I can respond. I wasn't talking about the article at all. Hynad wasn't referring to the article's use, either. I was responding to Hynad, who said that it was, basically, silly to reject the misuse of "next-gen" on the basis of semantics. I pointed out that it is silly to reject the criticism of the use of that word based on semantics, because semantics are how we come to actually understand each other. At no point was the specific topic of graphics being referred to.
And it wasn't "obtuse", nor was it any sort of deflection. I was responding to a specific thing that Hynad had said.
Regarding the Wii U, pretty much all sources agree now that it is at least 50% faster in terms of GPU than the PS3 or 360. Every developer and publisher comment has said that the Wii U is more powerful as a whole (although there is obvious CPU criticism). That makes it more powerful than the 360 or PS3 - a true statement. I made no value judgment on how much better, only the factual statement that it is better.
But hey, context isn't that important, I was just trying to deflect by asking you to actually tell me what you were talking about.
