In my opinion, it's the absolute best RE game. In fact, I believe it's one of the top 5 video games ever made. I would also dispute the notion that RE needs saving, only because I think Revelations already saved it. Revelations is the game that Resident Evil 5 should have been. It carefully merges the survival horror elements of the first generation of RE games with the shooting mechanics that were first introduced in 4. It's exactly what the franchise needed. I will go look up revelations as i havnt heard of it, this might change my mind on a few things
