A launch title for the 720 is currently aiming to go gold in time for September, 2013, suggesting a possible launch window of late october to december.

And sorry but the SDK for the next xbox that developers have been working with has not and will not be changed to suit a HD8xxx series GPU, so you're wrong on both counts.

Regarding launch, Microsoft know that without the year headstart they would not have been in such a strong position against Sony, doing the reverse and launching too far after the next Sony console would be the same as setting their money on fire.
